Attorney Holmes is an active member of the Louisiana Land Title Association
(LLTA). She is a former member of the Board of Directors of LLTA and served
on their legislative committee for many years. Her work on this committee
involved preparing, editing, and presenting various legislation as it
pertains to real estate and other business entities in Louisiana. Currently,
she is serving as LLTA’s representative on the Louisiana Clerk’s
Remote Access Authority Board, a developing statewide portal which provides
data derivative from various parish Clerks of Court. Attorney Holmes is
experienced in both residential and commercial real estate acquisitions
and divestitures, having handled several multi-million dollar closings.
Attorney Holmes also works in the area of probate and estate planning law.
Attorney Holmes realizes that estate planning and succession work is often
emotional; and she takes the time to both listen and comfort her clients
during these difficult times.
Attorney Holmes is an active member of the Allen Parish community and earned
the Kinder Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year award for her
work with area schools. She is also a former President of READ, a non-profit
organization which battles adult illiteracy. She is also the Secretary
/ Treasurer of the Allen Parish Bar Association and serves on the House
of Delegates for the Louisiana State Bar Association.
She is married to Attorney Michael B. Holmes, and they have three children.
When she is not practicing law, Attorney Holmes enjoys spending time with
her family, traveling, and running.
During her 22 years in practice, Attorney Holmes has earned a reputation
of being an excellent but always approachable lawyer. By listening to
her clients’ goals, she provides them with commonsense and cost-effective
legal assistance.
